- Abstract
The article discusses the nature of Native American art. The inspiration for Indian artwork in everyday occurrences is discussed and the creation of functional art through painting, blankets, baskets, and pottery is explored. The author notes the importance of natural elements in Native art concerning color selection and subjects. It is the author's opinion that Indian art is the most pure form of American art and that it cannot be fully appreciated without understanding its holistic nature and significance.
