- Abstract
The article discusses a study examining the currently accepted approaches to assess constipation in palliative care population. The study found that the current approaches assessing constipation in palliative care, based people's report, physical examination and a plain abdominal radiograph are very different to those recommended by gastroenterology guidelines. The results suggest that modified approaches may be tolerable and offer the chance of developing targeted palliation.
