- Abstract
The article offers information on the therapeutic use of heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90). It says that several drugmakers are racing to be the first to take an Hsp90 inhibitor for cancer to the market, while some of them and several academic researchers are targeting other diseases, including malaria, autoimmune diseases, and African sleeping sickness. Biochemist Utpal Tatu demonstrated that an anti-Hsp90 drug sustained survival in the mouse model of malaria.
