- Abstract
This document is a journal article titled "Absence of Evidence of Transfusion Transmission Risk of Creutzfeldt‐Jakob Disease in the US: Results From a 28‐Year Lookback Study." The article explores the evidence of transfusion transmission risk of Creutzfeldt‐Jakob Disease (CJD) in the United States. The study found that there was no evidence of transfusion transmission of CJD in the US, and the incidence of CJD has been decreasing in developed countries. The study also identified limitations, such as suboptimal specificity for mortality data and a limited observation period. Overall, the study suggests that transfusion transmission of CJD is minimal and remains theoretical.
