- Abstract
The article examines the provisions of the Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights in the Information Society, known as Dadvsi (Loi relative au droit d'auteur et aux droits voisins dans la société de l'informaiton), which was passed in France. As a way to implement the European Union Copyright Directive (EUCD), Dadvsi aims to reconcile intellectual property rights with consumer rights. The impact of the Davdsi regarding the interoperability rights of consumers and companies like Apple Inc. was evaluated.
