- Abstract
The article presents the case study of a 25-day-old male baby, who was hospitalized due to respiratory distress and cyanosis. Pulmonary venous congestion with interstitial and alveolar pulmonary edema was noticed in chest roentgenograms. The infant was diagnosed with infracardiac type total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) with venous obstruction by echocardiographic examination and was started on treatment with digoxin and furosemide.
