- Abstract
Quand il est question de l'Argentine, forêts et peuples autochtones ne sont pas les premiers sujets de préoccupation. Pourtant l'Argentine partage avec la Bolivie et le Paraguay, une région de 107 millions d'hectares, le Gran Chaco, qui abrite la deuxième forêt d'Amérique du Sud, après l'Amazonie. Cette région est un écosystème aussi fantastique que fragile qui abrite une biodiversité essentielle à son équilibre, ainsi que près de 1 million d'Argentin·es autochtones, gardien·nes de cette forêt qui les nourrit, les soigne et les protège. Pourtant, cette zone essentielle pour la régulation du climat est soumise à une déforestation intense en grande partie illégale car suspendue par un moratoire.
