- Abstract
Students with dyslexia face situations of stress, for which they use coping strategies to take on the challenges that involve difficulty in learning reading and writing. The objective was to establish the possible relationship between coping strategies and academic performance in students with dyslexia in educational institutions in the city of Armenia. The sample was non-probabilistic of 62 students between 9 and 12 years old. Under a quantitative approach and correlational design. The Coping Scale for Children (EAN), a dyslexia screening, and the students' academic transcripts were used. No significant correlation was found between the study variables, however, it is concluded that students with dyslexia do use coping strategies and that there are other predetermined factors that may be impacting academic performance.
