Discusses the association of Wallace Stevens' poetry with some quantum physicists' ideas about the relation of the individual to reality and society. Assumption on Stevens' use of ideas from modern science based on the book "Made in America: Science, Technology and American Modernist Poets"; Philosophical implications outlined in "Mind and Matter," by Erwin Schrödinger, who devised a fundamental mathematical description for the interpretation of quantum behavior.
