- Abstract
Az Illyés Gyula Könyvtár Szekszárdról, a magyarországi könyvtárak közül negyedikként, zöldkönyvtári címet szerzett az IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations-Könyvtári Egyesületek Nemzetközi Szövetsége) ENSULIB (Environmental Sustainability and Libraries – Környezeti Fenntarthatóság és Könyvtárak) szekciójának 2023-as pályázatán. A kolumbiai Medellín könyvtára mögött második helyezést értünk el a legjobb zöldkönyvtár kategóriában. Pályázatunk kivonatát a szekció meghívására Rotterdamban, az IFLA éves kongreszszusán mutathattam be augusztus 23-án.1 Hosszú út vezetett idáig. Az elaggott épületben, komoly helyhiánnyal küzdő vármegyei könyvtárban a zöldítés első gondolata nem aratott osztatlan sikert. A kedvezőtlen viszonyok, a Covid-19 járvány, a lezárások, a Szekszárdi Tudásközpont építésének tolódása, és más külső negatív tényezők hatása mégsem törte le azokat a kreatív energiákat, amik a lázas munka során felszabadultak. Az új szolgáltatások meghonosítása, új partnerkapcsolatok kialakítása, a magkönyvtár létesítése, a zöldkönyvtári stratégia elfogadása, a zöldkönyvtári hálózati együttműködések elindítása után a tudásközpontba költözés előkészítése mellett került sor az IFLA pályázat megírására, miközben a könyvtár személyi állományában komoly változások történtek. Az IFLA zöldkönyvtári címmel és a tudásközpontba költözéssel egy új fejezet nyílik a könyvtár életében. Hisszük, hogy a környezeti válság, a klímaváltozás mindenkit érint. Mint véleményformáló intézményeknek a könyvtáraknak van felelőssége és lehetősége is arra, hogy közösségeiket felkészítsék az elkerülhetetlen változásokra. A könyvtárak segíthetnek egy öko-tudatos szemlélet kialakításában. Azt hiszem ez volt az a belátás, ami a zöldkönyvtári tevékenységünk motorja volt az elmúlt három évben.
