- Title
Dynamic compressive deformation behavior of rubber materials.
- Authors
Lee, O. S.; Kim, K. J.
- Abstract
The article presents a study which explores why rubber materials usually show a nonlinear relationship between loading and deformation. The range at large-deformation presents the properties of hyper-elastic. So, static/dynamic mechanical properties to effective design of rubber materials should be understood in more detail. A specific experimental method, the split Hopkinson pressure bar technique which has been used to determine the dynamic deformation behavior under impact compressive and tensile loading conditions with strain-rate for varying metallic materials, is modified to extract some specific dynamic deformation behavior of some rubber materials.
