- Abstract
Examines the effect of sodium content on the mechanical and electrical properties of preferentially-oriented sodium beta-alumina ceramics. Suitability of sodium beta-alumina as a solid electrolyte for electrochemical energy devices; Dependence of ionic conductivity on sodium addition in hot-pressed sodium beta-alumina ceramics; Suggestion that the sodium-dependent electrical and mechanical properties should be considered in addition to the directional dependence when designing electrochemical cells using solid electrolyte.
