A critique of the poems "The Land" and "The Garden" by Vita Sackville-West is presented. The poems themes of the art of memory and life experience are discussed, as well as details on writing the poems, local agricultural English vernacular used in the poems, and the critical popularity of "The Land." The poet's revisions, seasons in her poems, and her son Nigel Nicolson are also mentioned.
