- Title
Investigating THEATRICAL DESIGN THEORY.
- Authors
Unruh, Delbert
- Abstract
The article explores the author's thoughts on the theory of theatrical design. He shares his experiences that have given him the opportunity to explore the philosophy of stage design and at the same time a satisfying parallel career as a writer. He suggests that a publication of a series of monographs on the best American designers would be a good project for the United States Institute for Theater Technology Inc. (USITT). He stresses that the thing he believed has elevated the intellectual discussion about theatrical design in the U.S. is the Monograph Series.
