- Abstract
The article discusses disability representation in children's literature with a focus on board books. It mentions the books which were examined for types of character representation, ethnicity representation, and disability representation, mostly through the children and adults wearing eyeglasses. Children with disabilities need to see themselves in the books they read, and able-bodied children need to see those who do not look like themselves in positions of equality.
