- Abstract
The article discusses performances of writer Charles Polacheck's play "Skin Deep" by the social activist performance collective Stage for Action (SFA). Particular focus is given to the SFA's efforts to connect fascism in Europe to racial tensions in the U.S. According to the author, the SFA used liminal space to challenge the cultural and racial boundaries of their audiences. Other topics include racial stereotypes, rioting, and religious differences.
