- Abstract
The article discusses the aspects of laughter in Indian of North America communities and how they are represented by anthropologist Rémi Savard. The author discusses the Innu Indians and their oral stories that provoke laughter as they are being passed down, references German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and his book "Deuxième Considération intempestive," and comments on Savard's books "La voix des autres" and "La forêt vive" in which he discusses the teachings of Tshakapesh, an Algonquian mythological figure.
