- Abstract
In order to explore the effect of feed lipid source on the growth and reproductive performance of the parent fish, 450 individuals with the average initial weight of (38.38±0.28) g were selected and ran‐ domly divided into five groups, each group with three replicates, and fed with five kinds of lipid source feeds added with fish oil, soybean oil, peanut oil, corn oil and rapeseed oil respectively in the basic feed for 8 weeks. The results showed that there was no significant difference in weight gain rate, specific growth rate and feed coefficient between groups fed with different lipid sources (P>0.05); 21 kinds of fatty acids were detected in the mature eggs of the fish except corn oil group and rapeseed oil group. The content of five n-6 unsaturated fatty acids in the mature eggs fed with corn oil showed the highest level, among which C20∶2n-6 and C20∶3n-6 were significantly different from the rapeseed oil group (P< 0.05); there was no significant difference in egg yield and fertilization rate between different lipid source feed groups (P>0.05), but the corn oil group was the highest in hatching rate and larval normal swimming rate, which was significantly higher than the rapeseed oil group (P<0.05). The results indicated that soybean oil, peanut oil, corn oil and rapeseed oil could partially replace fish oil to meet the needs of fatty acids in the growth and reproduction process of the fish, and corn oil was the most suitable lipid source.
