- Abstract
The article suggests the use of daylight harvesting to reduce the use of electric lighting. It cites variables for a successful design of a daylight harvesting system, including the controlled introduction of direct and reflected sunlight into a building. The advantages of having daylight buildings are explained. Market drivers for adopting daylighting are mentioned which include both energy and non-energy related factors.
