- Title
Energy Savings From Pump Impeller Trimming.
- Authors
Singh, Gurvinder; Mitchell, John W.
- Abstract
The article discusses the study in estimating the possibility of saving energy by trimming pump impeller on 14 office buildings' heating and cooling systems in Madison, Wisconsin. It shows that each building's average electrical savings for summer months is about 6 kilowatts, and an average annual energy savings of up to 28,000 kilowatts, if the oversized pump impellers trimmed. It notes that pump impeller trimming could also benefit buildings like universities, and state buildings.
