- Title
Parliamentarians and cybrid human embryos.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the argument over a proposed Parliamentary Bill in Great Britain issuing disapproval and considering banning all research on hybrid human embryos discussed in an editorial in the periodical "Nature." The British government then produced a draft bill that would allow the formation of cybrids, a special type of embryo in which an egg deprived of its DNA receives an injection of animal DNA. It is suggested to retain the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and discard the draft bill.
