- Abstract
This article examines the constitutionality of random drug testing in public schools in the U.S. The author begins by exploring the drug problem among teenagers. He then evaluates the effectiveness of random drug testing in schools, as well as the challenges encountered by the government in implementing such a program. He also describes the implications that the Student and Teacher Safety Act of 2006 would have if it becomes law. Further, the author reviews expert advice for a school wishing to implement a random drug testing program.
