- Abstract
For the problems of beam overlap interference and redundancy control overhead of dual-channel MAC protocol in existing multi-input multi-output (MIMO) terahertz communication networks, a High Efficiency Dual channel MAC Protocol Based on Relay Cooperative Forwarding ( HE-RCFMAC) in terahertz networks is proposed. The HE-RCFMAC protocol includes three mechanisms, dynamic frame aggregation, adaptive cooperative forwarding based on location information and simplified Request To Send (RTS) / Clear To Send(CTS) frame. The three mechanisms can effectively improve the channel utilization, reduce the control overhead, improve the success rate of data transmission and the overall network throughput. Simulation results show that compared with the existing MIMO dual-channel MAC protocol, the throughput, data transmission success rate and channel utilization rate of the MAC layer are improved by 12. 82%,12. 28% and 8. 73%,respectively, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed protocol.
