- Abstract
Lately, environmental issues are more present in the media, in view of society's relationship with the predatory use of natural resources. It seems, it seems, that natural resources are infinite. Considering that adolescents will soon become more active consumers, influencing the production system, it is considered pertinent to know their behavior regarding consumption habits. The objective of the study is to describe the perception and consumption habits of 109 high school students from 4 courses at an IFPI unit. Methodologically, the research has a quantitative approach, descriptive-exploratory in nature, using the survey method and using a structured questionnaire in face-to-face interviews. As a result, it was possible to identify the socioeconomic aspects, the degrees of environmental perception and conscious consumption of the respondents. With the use of VAPERCOM, it was noted that students have an environmental perception, and the potential possibility of becoming conscious consumers.
