- Abstract
This article presents results of a medical investigation of a case of photosensitive dermatitis from helenium and balsam of Peru. It is reported that the patient tested for that disease was taking a thiazide diuretic at the time of chemical tests. Results of patch tests were positive to chrysanthemum leaf and balsam of Peru. It was further investigated that the inflammation was of a photosensitive eczema and his eruption was aggravated by sunlight. Monochromator testing showed a borderline degree sensitivity to short wave ultraviolet light.
