- Abstract
A study published in the journal Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism found that both pre- and post-meal walks can help individuals with type 1 diabetes manage their blood glucose levels. The study involved 11 participants who used a hybrid closed-loop insulin delivery system. The results showed that both types of walks were effective in reducing postprandial glucose levels, with no significant differences between the two conditions. The study suggests that incorporating a 20-minute walk before or after dinner can be beneficial for individuals with type 1 diabetes.
