- Abstract
Routine eye examination findings of an 89-year-old woman show a large choroidal mass in the left eye suspicious for malignant neoplasm. Ocular history shows a prior cataract surgical procedure, YAG capsulotomy, and subsequent repair of retinal detachment with scleral buckle and pneumatic retinopexy. Ophthalmoscopic examination reveals a peripheral retinal atrophy and large choroidal mass. Further evaluation shows a dome-shaped, echodense mass with posterior shadowing and measuring 4.6 mm thick and 12 mm in diameter. What would you do next?
