- Abstract
The article reflects on the surveillance patients who have been treated with statins in cutaneous disorders such as nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC). It states that statins can increase the risk of cancer in older patients and immunosuppressive actions of statins is an emerging risk factor for NMSC. It recommends that patients suffering with NMSC should be provided with statins under the complete monitoring of doctors.
