- Authors
Elasy, Tom A.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on how to improve the quality of care in diabetes. According to the author, three factors are necessary to improve the quality of care: adequate resources and infrastructure; will to improve care; and rationale for improvement. The author says that information in electronic health records allows physicians the ability to know both individual and population-level data, and can be used to influence behavior for the purpose of improvement.
