- Abstract
The article focuses on the factors that affect the moral judgments on the use of animals. It classifies the factors into four categories, that condition moral judgments about any human-animal interaction. The first category is human benefits, that involves the use of animals for food and clothing. Other factors mentioned in this category are the use of animals for transportation, recreation and domestication. Second category is anthropomorphism, that has also been a topic of moralistic debate among philosophers, includes hunting of animals. Third category is the ecology of animals, which includes rarity and diversity of animal species. Psychology criteria is the fourth category, which includes the habituation and aesthetic value of animals.
