- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines the rate of flow of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and phosphorus in individual households in the metropolitan area of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It estimates input and output fluxes of several household activities such as food consumption, energy use, and motor vehicle travel. The study indicates that the variation household fluxes was related to biophysical variables and it suggests to understand such activities to develop policies for pollution reduction.
