- Abstract
In 2003, ministers of the environment from 5 East-European countries signed the Pacts for the Protection of the Carpathians -- Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary [3]. The present paper presents the way Romania's activity in the field of illicit traffic with endangered plant and animal species is seen in different reports presented within either meetings of involved organisations or workshops organised by TRAFFIC (a network for the monitoring of wild species traffic) in cooperation with other organisations.
