- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examined a coprolite assemblage from the Anisian-aged Luoping Biota in Yunnan Province, China. Samples were collected from laminated micritic limestone of the Guanling Formation. The study was able to identify four kinds of coprolites. Results of the study showed that most coprolites are phosphitic. It also found that the preservation of fossilized coprolites indicate rapid burial by sediments or microbial mats.
