The article focuses on the descriptions of Paris, France within the book "Tableau de Paris," by Louis-Sébastien Mercier. The author explores the concept of medieval festive space within Mercier's writing, examines his portrayal of social justice within pre-revolutionary Paris, and analyzes his beliefs of religious demoralization and his critiques of Catholic rituals.
