- Abstract
Shakaib Jalali is one of the Ghazal writer who died in the flower of youth. He made his mark in a unique way in the presence of such great poets as Nasir Kazmi, Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Shezad Ahmad. He imparted modernism and balance to Urdu Ghazal. Imagery and symbolism are the essence of his Ghazal. He has not been focused upon in the prospective of modernism in spite of the fact that he is Ghazal writer with imageries of balanced modernism. His studying reveals that he is the first regular representative poet and father of modern Ghazal after the emergence of Pakistan. The following article highlights these facts.
