Theobjectiveofthepresentstudyistofindouttheimpactofdemographicvariablesontheequityshareinvest-ment decisions of the employees. The study is done on the employees of Oil India L imi ted [OIL]. It is found thatoutofthefourdemographicvariablesnamelyage,gender,qualificationanddesignationconsideredfor thestudyonlyageishavingsignificantinfluenceontheequityshareinvestmentdecisionsinpast,presentand future however, genderis onlyhaving impacton the present equity investmentdecisions.Otherthan these other demographic variables are not significant for equity investment decisions
