- Abstract
We study the local oscillatory behavior of the Lebesgue-Cantor staircase function. The log-periodic oscillations at the points of the Cantor set are characterized exactly. It is shown that in the first approximation, the Lebesgue-Cantor staircase function can be written as the sum of power laws with imaginary exponent. And further approximation can be built using this series as a building block.
