- Abstract
The article presents a reflection on the ethical and theological dimensions of limiting desire to own resources and live in insatiable abundance to the detriment of the community, the environment and the planet. The role of the humanities and scholars in the humanities and of religion in addressing climate change, the creation of special duties based on the abundance of Westerners, and the importance of ordinal acts are discussed. Teachings from the Hebrew Scripture and Koran are mentioned.
