- Abstract
Seasonal sampling was carried out at five stations between December 2017 and September 2018 to determine the Oligochaeta fauna and physicochemical parameters of Göksu Stream. As a result of the study, 22129 individuals belonging to 9 taxa were identified. Seven taxa belonging to the family Naididae, [Limnodrilus sp, Limnodrilus udekemianus Claparède, 1862), Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri (Claparède, 1862), Nais pardalis (Piguet, 1906), Tubifex tubifex (Müller, 1774), Limnodrilus claparedeianus (Ratzel, 1868), Potamothrix hammoniensis (Michaelsen, 1901)], 1 taxon belonging to Enchytraeidae family, Enchytraeus buchholzi (Vejdovský, 1879) and one taxon belonging to Lumbricidae family (Lumbricidae) were identified. The identified taxa are new records for the study area. The dominance values of the Oligocheta group were analysed, Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri with 46%, Limnodrilus udekemianus with 28%, Tubifex tubifex with 21%, Limnodrilus sp with 1,50% Limnodrilus claparedeanus 1%, Lumbricidae with 1 % Enchytraeus buchholzi with 0,60%, Potamothrix hammoniensis with 0,50% and Nais pardalis with 0,40 %. Water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity, salinity, depth, flow rate, ammonium nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, orthophosphate, total phosphorus, biological oxygen demand and suspended solids were also measured in water samples taken from the stations determined from Göksu stream. The water quality classes of some physicochemical parameters measured in the stream were determined according to the Regulation on Surface Water Quality (2021). The similarities between the stations according to the seasonal averages of the physicochemical parameters measured in the study were analysed by Bray-Curtis similarity analysis. Accordingly, 3rd and 4th stations are the most similar, while 1st and 2nd stations are the least similar.
