- Abstract
The article analyses the performance manner of Lithuanian formula songs and formula tales, also the peculiarities that could be found there. The performance of the tales that are recited and declaimed is given the term intermediate, and the performance of formula tales with musical insertions, or even the tales where one part of the piece is being told in words, and the other is being sung, has the term intermediate form in the paper. There are some descriptions of the formula pieces performance styles marked in the article that stresses the peculiarity of the pieces, where two types of folklore - sung and narrative - finds the space to combine.
