- Abstract
The article outlines the causes of the Falkland War in 1982, reports that a significant number of Irish-Argentines fought in the Argentine military against the armed forces of Great Britain, and presents casualty statistics related to the war. A collection of three oral histories collected from members of Argentina's forces are presented. One from senior officer Brigadier-General Eugenio Dalton who served as a Lieutenant-Colonel during the war, one from Colonel Leandro Luis Villegas who was a newly-commissioned Sub-Lieutenant during the war, and conscript Carlos Connell.
