The article offers information regarding the anthropological study of Africa. It states that the anthropological practice and fieldwork in 21st century Africa were changed through the altered foci done by anthropologists, who focuses on the nature of the dialogue between modernity and tradition. It says that the development of the Pan-African Anthropology Association (PAAA) was the pivotal change that emerge in the study.
