- Abstract
The article presents a re-assessment of gender inequality in the U.S. legal community as of January 2012, focusing on an apparent lack of women in major roles in the American legal profession, as well as an analysis of the media's coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court nomination hearings for former nominees Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor. Gender bias and stereotyping are also addressed in relation to the media's treatment of women.
