- Abstract
The article informs about two new studies, which describe strategies for increasing the efficiency of RNA interference. Short-interfering double-stranded RNAs transfected into cultured cells have become a mainstay of basic research laboratories and a cornerstone of target validation and drug development in the biotechnology industry. Two reports in this issue of the journal investigate approaches for enhancing the efficiency of RNA interference (RNAi). Both studies come up with improved RNA templates for activating RNAi-mediated transcript silencing.
