- Abstract
The article discusses the setting of attorneys' fees in securities-based class action lawsuits in America as of November 2013, focusing on self-interest among investors and the U.S. Congress' enactment of the nation's private Securities Litigation Reform Act (PSLRA). Mechanisms for selecting lead plaintiffs and class counsel under the PSLRA are mentioned, along with American case law in relation to the submission of fee agreements. Institutional investors and judicial orders are examined.
