- Abstract
The article discusses the law and policy which oppose the requirement for the federal sentencing order objection in the U.S. It provides the necessary context in understanding and evaluating such requirement and explains the background of the circuit split with the application modification of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the Supreme Court. Several sources of law on the said requirement and the intervention of the Supreme Court or Congress in resolving circuit split are also noted.
