- Abstract
The article focuses on the provisions of Anti-Illegal Immigrant (AII) that target the landlords of private rental housing who accept unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. It notes that the provisions sanction the landlords who accept unauthorized immigrant as prospective tenants without verification on the status of the person prior to the agreement of residential lease. However, it mentions that landlord have difficulty in verifying the immigration status of the potential tenant, which lead to discrimination during personal assessment of the migrant.
