- Abstract
The author discusses the U.S. Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and U.S. federal law governing Native American skeletal remains. Information is provided on how the Act was passed in direct response to a thirty year fight over the owners of the skeletal remains of 1,702 Native Americans between the University of Nebraska and members of fifteen Native American tribes.
