- Abstract
The article discusses the effects of New Mexico Supreme Court case Romero v. Philip Morrs Inc., a class-action lawsuit against cigarette companies for an alleged conspiracy to raise the price of cigarettes in violation of New Mexico antitrust laws. Topics discussed include New Mexico Supreme Court's rejection of the federal summary judgment standard, the articulation of the New Mexico summary judgment standard along with the different summary judgment results produced by federal case law.
