- Abstract
The article discusses several Supreme Court cases of the U.S. regarding the impact of Indian tribal gaming operations on the increased economy of Connecticut including California v. Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, Morton v. Mancari, and Nevada v. Hicks. It exemplifies with the advent of tribal Foxwoods casino, Connecticut in 1992 in response to technological change negotiations. The Court held in Cabazon case that states are not authorized to regulate Indian gaming operations on reservations.
